Hello And Welcome To Glasstasy!

 I'm Kelly and Glasstasy started as a result of my desire to have glass paintings of cats and dogs I have owned and shown over the years. After years of stitching other artist’s designs for my own pleasure I decided to put down the needle and thread and pick up the pencil and brush. The very first painting of one of my cats is Fyrefoxe whose painting is in the upper right hand corner of this page. Fyrefoxe was a red classic tabby and white Maine Coon cat and he was my very first pedigreed cat. I am not done painting the cats and dogs that have shared their lives with me over the years but I will get there.  

Some of the cat paintings are derived with permission from photos of cats taken by premier cat photographer Helmi Flick with her cat wrangler husband Ken. Some of those photos are included so you can compare the painting to the photo. And no, not all of the paintings are of my pets. Nor are all my paintings of animals. They just happen to be my favorite subject.

Some of my art is glass etching on mirrors. Photographing those are extremely difficult. In fact I am still trying to figure out how to get nice photos of the mirrors for you to enjoy. The larger the mirror is, the harder the task. J
